It is thanks to this dream that Alberto Simillides is a talented chef with a globe-trotting career through award-winning restaurants, which has taken him all the way from Cyprus, Athens, and Berlin to cosmopolitan Singapore.

And what truly defines Proud Potato Peeler is his passion for providing dining experiences of furthering and broadening horizons; experiences of yet another level. The very steps which 14-year-old Alberto took when he found his calling have led him to his true destination.

Proud Potato Peeler takes the next step: relocating to a new, larger space, where guests can still enjoy communal dining, a shared experience in a welcoming environment, and where the chef himself cooks the dishes in plain sight. The new space is a kaleidoscope bringing together elements from Berlin, Athens, Nicosia, Cyprus, and many more places.

The kitchen is Alberto's natural habitat. It is where he sets loose and creates whatever he has envisioned — any idea that has inspired him and any gustatory experience he wishes to give according his hands.
However, his extroverted personality craves companionship, sharing, and connection. Alberto's cooking is an act of giving, of bringing people closer to himself and others. The ambience he creates is reminiscent of a spontaneous family gathering, with the typical intimacy between people sharing a common, pleasant and impromptu experience.
